CEO and Senior Tutor

Sue has had a distinguished career working with adults, children, young people, and families in both practice and academia. She has held academic positions at the Universities of Durham, Newcastle, and Arden, and has developed diploma and degree courses in counselling, psychotherapy, and clinical supervision for various universities. Sue has also created bespoke courses for a range of organisations. Her extensive training experience includes school counselling programs for the EU and training counsellors, psychotherapists, and supervisors in Kenya, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Turkey. Sue has also examined counselling and supervision courses, including Doctorates at prestigious universities such as Cambridge, Durham, Keele, Manchester, Nottingham and Edinburgh. As the Joint Chair of the Children, Young People and Families Division of BACP for many years, she has significantly contributed to the field. Currently, Sue maintains a busy counselling, supervision, and training practice in both the UK and France. Additionally, Sue manages a thriving Facebook group, "Counselling Children and Young People," which has 5.7k members who actively support and interact with one another.
